Hyatt Regency Bellevue Families for Effective Autism Treatment (FEAT) of Washington will host Reach for the Stars, a dinner and auction benefiting programs for children and young adults with autism, on March 13, 2010, 5:30 PM at the Hyatt Regency in Bellevue. Despite his success as a surgeon he began to doubt that his patients needed the multiple procedures he was performing. That led him to the Institute for Functional Medicine Research Center in Gig Harbor.
He's lectured internationally on health and wellness, particularly on
personalizing therapeutic lifestyle programs for chronic inflammation,
altered immunity, and cardiovascular disease to help address the root causes of these conditions.

This lecture is for parents of children with autism.

Dr. Chapman is currently involved in clinical research on autism as a condition of oxidative stress. Specifically, she is studying glutathione replacement therapies in autistic children. She is also collecting preliminary data on Vitamin D levels in families of children with autism.
Dr. Chapman provides integrative healthcare in Portland, Oregon. She has a special focus in pediatric developmental disorders and utilizes both natural and conventional therapies in the treatment of Autism, Asperger syndrome, sensory integration disorders and ADHD.

July 7-10 in Dallas
Plan to join us for the 41st Autism Society National Conference and Exposition at the Hyatt Regency in Dallas July 7-10. Bringing together the expertise and experiences of family members, professionals and individuals on the spectrum, attendees are able to learn how to more effectively advocate and obtain supports for an individual with ASD. The ultimate goal is to empower family members, individuals on the spectrum and professionals to make informed decisions.
Registration will open on February 15. This year all registrations will include full access to the recordings of all conference sessions as part of the registration fee.
We expect close to 2,000 attendees at this conference, representing service providers, professionals, parents, individuals on the spectrum, state and federal government representatives, nonprofits supporting autism and others. The exhibit hall has over 140 booths representing the products, services and organizations of the autism community. To become a part of the exhibit hall or learn about sponsorship opportunities, please contact Meg Ellacott at ellacott@autism-society.org or 302-260-9487.
The call for papers is now closed. Decisions will be emailed by February 15, 2010.

* Understanding how to create a "lifecare" plan
* Drafting a will or living trust
* Understanding how goverment benefits work
* Establishing a special needs trust
