Sensory Friendly Movie - The Chronicles of Narnia
Join AMC Entertainment and the Autism Society on December 11 for a special showing of The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader.
We will be showing the movie at 10 a.m. local time in participating theatres nationwide.

Scholastic Book Fair Warehouse Sale!
If you are familiar with Scholastic they are one of the companies that supplies book order forms for schools and materials for school book fairs.
Their books are often reasonably priced and good quality for kids.
To register for a sale, click "Sign Up" and complete the new, easy to follow registration process.
When you complete your registration, you will receive a Fast-Cart Pass, which allows you to bypass the sign-in line at the sale, and a valuable coupon.
One day before the sale begins, we'll send you an email reminder.Warehouse Sales are exclusively for school employees, school district personnel, homeschoolers, and Book Fair chairpeople / volunteers.

Holiday Social & Used Toy Exhange
Please join us for our next meeting!
The December meeting has been delayed one week due to a scheduling conflict. We’re going to get together to have some social time together as a group, ask questions, and share information. There will not be a speaker for this meeting.
Bring some used items from your home that are in good shape that you’d like to gift to someone else. If you can, bring a snack to share also. Please be aware th...at if you bring your kids, there may be food choices that contain allergens.
Date: Monday, December 13th
Time: 6:30-8:00 pm
Place: Pierce County Library Processing & Administration Center
3005 112th St E, Tacoma
(at 112th and Waller Rd, just off Hwy 512 Portland Ave exit)
Don't forget that there will be selected lending library resources available for check out, and new attendees receive a valuable binder of information for free (until they are gone). Professionals and other interested parties are welcome to attend. Childcare is not available.

Puyallup Fair Grounds
Contestants must be between the ages of 13-18 and be accompanied (to participate in the pageant) by her mother or female guardian. Contestants (ages 13-18) must have received a medical diagnoses in order to compete. "Special needs" refers to an individual that requires therapies and/or accommodations to complete or fully participate in one or more activities in a typical manner.
The purpose of the Miss Special Needs Pageant is to create a public awareness of many different disabilities, while giving these very special young ladies a venue to share their talents and SHINE!

NEW TOPSoccer Group in Pierce County Area
A new TOPSoccer group is forming in the south Pierce County area.
TOPSoccer is a great opportunity for kids with any diagnosis to
participate in soccer and have a one-on-one buddy to help facilitate
their experience.
TOPSoccer in the South Pierce County Area will meet at:
Tillicum Elementary School
8514 Maple Street SW
Lakewood, WA
It's very convenient for military families and right off I-5. The
coach has 10 years experience working with special needs children and
20 years playing and coaching soccer. We will be meeting Sundays from
3-4pm. There will be a parent meeting beforehand, unfortunately we
are still waiting on the okay for field usage. The great thing about
TOPSoccer, each child will have their own buddy! If you prefer to
furnish your buddy for your child, please let us know.
